On a somewhat limited budget this project took an aged and poorly maintained house, reinvigorating and expanding it. We aimed to maintain the scale of the street while dramatically enhancing its livability. The demolition of the rear of the house made room for the addition. It accommodated new open interior living space which includes the kitchen, dining, family room, small office and stair as well as the second floor master and porch. This expansion also allowed the creation of a full width covered rear porch that expands living space into the rear yard, and a covered side entry porch off the driveway.
